CPYU provides great resources for parents and students.  There are articles relevant to youth ministry, families, life transitions, and culturally relevant trends important to parents, students, and those involved as staff or volunteers in student ministry.

There are a tremendous number of student ministry resources available from Simply Youth Ministry from Jr. High through to post high graduate ministry that are biblical solid, culturally relevant, and very reasonable  Plus, by clicking on the banner, you can get another 10% off your purchase! 

We have been using Student Life Bible Study materials for 4 years, and have found it to be a great fit for our Jr. and Sr. High students.  It is a 6 year curriculum that is web-based, and accessible by all your teachers from their home or office.  The cost is based on the number of students in the program, which can save you tons of money as compared to purchasing materials on a quarterly basis.  You can sign up for a trial period to test out the materials in your own ministry.

Answers In Genesis has a tremendous amount of resources regarding creation understanding.  We have used this material as a part of our Sunday School curriculum, although not exclusively, to provide a balanced understanding of scripture from which the absolute truths related to creation and God's relationship with man can be gleaned.  Our intent is not to present a literalistic perspective related to Genesis, but rather to provide a means by which students can engage in discussion with others without sacrificing the foundational truths found there.

Storytelling is the way the gospel gets communicated in a personal way.  Echo the Story provides some foundational understanding related to its fit in our teaching and ministry in todays culture.  Along with that, there are some training events held throughout the year to provide opportunity to learn more.  Echo the Story is a ministry founded by Michael Novelli.  We recommend you get a copy of his book, "Shaped By the Story,"

InWord is another site with resources we recommend you take a look at for use in student ministry.  The founder, Barry Shafer, has written a book, "Unleashing God's Word in Youth Ministry," that has greatly influenced the methods we use for teaching students throughout student ministry at Castine.

Precept Ministries provides resources and instruction that has influenced our teaching methods alongside those listed above.  Their focus is on inductive teaching, and allowing scripture to speak to scripture.  We realize that there is a wealth of understanding available from commentaries and concordances that can tremendously increase our knowledge of scripture.  However, many times we rely too quickly on those resources without allowing the Holy Spirit to bring understanding.  The Precept Ministries model will require discipline to stay the course of study.

Explorations in Antiquity Center is located in LaGrange, Georgia, and provides teaching second only to being on a tour in Israel.  The whole experience and teaching at the Center has been greatly influenced by archaeology and a thorough understanding of the Hebrew/Jewish culture - the culture and perspective from which scripture originated.  We strongly recommend you visit the Center to experience it for yourself.  You can click on the banner to go to their website.  Along with the Center, they have another ministry - Biblical Resources - through which printed resources can be purchased.  You can go to the website for Biblical Resources by clicking here - www.biblicalresources.net.

Anchorsaway is a worldview study developed by founder Nancy Fitzgerald for students in their senior year of high school, and freshman year of college.  The materials have been endorsed by Chuck Colson, and are designed to engage students in a dialog that leads them to the truths of scripture, giving them a foundation upon which to live and grow.  We are using it as a small group study within our ministry, and encourage you to take a look at the website and material for yourself.
